Bottom Cross
The first step in solving the cube is to create a cross pattern on the bottom of the cube. It is important to match up the adjacent edge from the cross with the matching center piece.
Down face and first layer
After assembling the first cross it's time to complete the first layer. Find corner pieces and put them into position above where they belong.
You can determine the position by comparing the colours. Below we can see that the green-red-white corner is placed between the green and red sides and above the white face.
If the corner is already in the first layer and is either incorrectly oriented or does not belong in that position just use any of these three algorithms to pop the piece up to the top layer and then perform the appropriate algorithm to place it properly.

Second Layer
Locate edge pieces that do not contain any of your top colour (for this tutorial that it is yellow) and place it above the center as shown below. Then follow the algorithm to place the piece either left or right.
If an edge is already in the second layer but not in the right place perform the algorithm to place the piece on the top layer, reorient the top layer and apply the appropriate algorithm.
